Muriel Murphy has been in the healing arts field since 1992. She began her study of the body as a Fitness Instructor/Health Sciences major at the University of California, San Diego. She moved to the Lake Tahoe area and studied massage, graduating from the Phillips School of Massage in 1995. She also trained in Neuro-muscular Reprogramming at the Alive and Well Institute in San Anselmo, CA. Adding Reiki and Touch for Health to her practice in 2009. She has been working in the light, practicing bodywork for 16 years.
Muriel began her training as a yoga instructor in 2003, at the Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica, completing the 200-hour certification program. Most recently she has trained at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco, completing the 500 hour Advanced Studies Teacher Training in December of 2006. Muriel traveled to Pune, India to immerse herself in a 6 week study with the Iyengars in July of 2007.
The healing energy of the Goddess Ritual was introduced to Muriel in 1994 and she has been sharing this with other women ever since. Learning and growing with a devotion to the spirit of the Great Goddess Ritual has compelled her to share this with many women along her path. She has been leading Goddess Circles since 2000.
Murielís experience as a body worker and yoga instructor shine through in the knowledge she so openly shares others. She believes that the lineage of yoga and the Goddess Ritual is a gift to be shared for the health and well being of all who choose to take the journey.
